Venture Building from the Trenches

I love Platforms.

This is a passion of mine - software that enables things to happen better, faster, easier.

I've built platforms for more years than I care to count.

Just to be clear on what I mean by platform:

A software platform is a foundational environment—a mix of underlying software and hardware—that allows other programs, applications, or services to run and interact.

Thanks Gemini.

Mostly I build service platforms - that provide the tools and environment for people to perform certain services - for example generate content marketing strategies and ongoing content that maps to that strategy.

But lately, the thing I am most proud of is even more foundational than that. It is platform of services I got tired of building for every new one and that I had no interest in buying from others.

So , things like auth (signing in to things), emails sending, accessing AI models.

Not many people ever have the need to create a platform of tools - because most don't build multiple things, at least not multiple things together.

When you do build multiple things together at the same time, you should quickly see that you are duplicating effort quite significantly - in my case, 6 ventures all needing auth, emails, models, analytics etc etc.

So I built Smart Services.

But what does this actually mean, what is the practical value?

Well - it means that I can put together software applications that are robust and production ready in record time (days not weeks).

It means I can use these services to leverage the fast build of AI to turn my ideas into products that don't just look good but are stable enough regardless of what you throw at it.
